The ACETIE, initiated in 2018 by figures from the political, business, and academic sectors of both countries, aims to leverage the implementation of the Australia-China Free Trade Agreement to promote and develop bilateral economic and trade relations, serving the interests and well-being of both nations' business communities and peoples. Supported by the commerce departments of both Australia and China, as well as enthusiastic participation from business sectors in both countries, the expo has become the most influential business platform between the two nations.

The ACETIE has garnered active participation from enterprises and institutions in both countries, inviting hundreds of political, business, and academic elites to deliver important speeches, attracting tens of thousands of attendees, and receiving extensive coverage from mainstream media in both Australia and China.

Over the years, the ACETIE has received official support from the Australian Federal Government's Trade Commission, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Australian Office, and the Government of Victoria, and has collaborated with the Australia-China Business Council (ACBC) and the Australia-China Chamber of Commerce in Australia (CCCA). Established in 1973, ACBC has branches in major cities across Australia and serves as one of the most authoritative organizations in the field of Australia-China economic and trade cooperation. Founded in 2006, CCCA is a united organization of Chinese-funded enterprises in Australia, with member units spanning various industries nationwide.

The organizing committee of the expo is chaired by the former Australian Minister for Trade and Investment, Mr. Andrew Robb, who has played a crucial role in promoting and leading free trade agreements between Australia and several Asian countries including China, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore, contributing significantly to Australia-China economic and trade relations.

The ACETIE, now in its seventh year, has been held annually in Melbourne, the exhibition capital of Australia, except for two editions suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership between China and Australia. Positive effects from the visits of the Australian Prime Minister to China and the Chinese Foreign Minister to Australia have been continuously stimulating a new wave of economic and trade enthusiasm. Chinese new energy vehicles are gaining popularity in Australia, while tariffs on Australian red wine, barley, coal, and other products have been successively lifted, indicating favorable conditions for bilateral economic and trade cooperation. Initiatives such as the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade's "Thousand Enterprises Going Global" plan and Victoria's legislation on "aged care homes" highlight abundant business opportunities between the two sides. The 2024 ACETIE will comprehensively present this new landscape of commerce and trade.

The 2024 ACETIE, themed "Empowering Green Living with High Technology," focuses on emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, green energy, and new energy vehicles, while continuing to address traditional hot sectors like agricultural and pastoral products, red wine, tourism, education, construction materials, and real estate. The expo will consist of three major activities: exhibitions, forums, and exchanges, attracting a large number of businesses, investors, and the general public. Brand showcases and business promotions are essential for realizing commercial value; forums featuring elites from political, business, and academic sectors will provide in-depth analysis of future trends in commerce and trade; a celebratory banquet, award ceremony, signing ceremony, professional lectures, bilingual talent recruitment, and other business activities will create a rich and vibrant Australia-China Economic and Trade Carnival.

The 2024 ACETIE welcomes your participation for cooperation, mutual benefit, discovering opportunities, reaping wealth, and continuing friendship!
